Now it is time for the next challenge and we still have a DT call open for another month as I know that we are only just getting a lot of people find us and so I want to give as many people as possible the chance to enter. If you want to try out for the DT please put DT by your name when you enter.

We thought this month we would try to make the winter blues work for us and create something that uses mainly blues :) It doesn't have to be a winter theme we just need to see you using blue.
The winner picked at random will get a £10 voucher to spend in the crafty purple frog store.
We have 2 new DT members to introduce to you this month. They are Pauline and Lucy. Please join us in welcoming them and leave them some love :D

Amy

For this card I have used the super cute Frosty stamp that I have coloured with spectrum noir illustrator pens. I then used some foam pads to make him stand out from the background a bit. The sentiment is from the contemporary sentiments stamp set and stamped in memento black ink
the design paper is from the spring sentiments paper pack. The twine is from the blue skies set. I put it all together with collall glue on a C6 card.

For this card I have used some of the brand new Wow! Embossing powders, Avocado, misty sky and perissa. The back ground stamp is called Tropical and the sentiment is called friendship. The little gems are from the teal goody bag. The card is a 5x5 scalloped card and I put it all together with collall glue.

Lucy
I used a 6x6 Card blank and rubbed Distress Ink onto a panel of Watercolour Paper, then dotted water using a Water Brush and dabbed it off to remove dots of ink for a snowy look! I also used SticklesWhite Pearls and Dovecraft Lace to finish.

For my card I have used the adorable Christmas Kisses stamp from the Moonbeam Meadow collection.  I used  Spectrum Noir Illustrator Pens to colour the cute image and inked the edges with Distress Ink.  The sentiment is also from the Christmas Kisses stamp set.  I used Collal glue to put everything together on a 6 x 6" white card blank.

Wendy

For my card I used this adorable stamp from CC Designs called Snowflake
I coloured her in in Blues to match the theme, I added sparkle to the snowflakes and pom poms with Stickles which I also added to the flowers as well. The Design papers I used are by First Addition called Gilded Winter, the little wooden tree is from my stash as are the flowers. The glue I used to adhere my papers is my most fav paper glue Collall glue as it doesn't make the paper warp.
The card blanks are 5x5 by Dovecraft

I Loved the Winter blue theme this month, with the First Addition Christmas paper pads using this blue and brown colour so much I made another card this time using the pad called Christmas Promise
the Dies and flowers are from my stash, the papers adhered together with Colloll glue and card blanks 5x5 by Dovecraft

I just loved making this card, using one of my favourite images  'Magical Star' from the Christmas Moonbeam Meadow collection. To colour this fabulous image I decided to stamp it on 'Ranger' water coloured paper & colour it using Tim Holtz distress inks & pens. I then stuck it all together using 'Collall' all purpose glue & 'Collall 3D' glue with tools all stuck onto '6" square white card blank'

Huge hugs to you all

Have you seen enamel Accents?

I am so excited to say that we now have these brilliant little pots of joy in the shop :D
I can't wait to get a chance to play with these myself as I think they give an amazing effect and will be brilliant for, among other things, mens cards. They work like liquid pearls but instead of giving a pearly effect they give a shiny enamel look and can be use to give a great bit of dimension to your projects.
Just check out this video that shows you in a much better way what you can do than I could ever put into words....

Our challenge is still going on so there is still time to enter for a chance to win a £10 gift voucher that you could use to buy some of these.

Let the challenges begin!!

There is a new shop on the block and so we needed a new challenge blog!!
If you like to win prizes then you are in the right place and if you would like to join a great fun DT then we would love you to join our little group. To try out for the DT please put DT by your name when you enter and in your post show us some of the makes you are most proud of as well as one to fit for the challenge. You don't need to have any DT experience just a love of crafting. Please also link back to the Crafty Purple Frog shop and this challenge in your post.
If you get chosen for the DT then you will need to make one project each month using things you can buy from the Crafty Purple Frog shop. You will need to add links to where the items can be brought in the shop to your posts and comment on some of the people who enter the challenge each month. As a thank you for your work you will get 20% off your purchases in the shop and I will send you out some freebies as well to get you started.
This is a new shop and I am adding more items all the time. Keep checking back or sign up for our news letter (bottom right corner of any of the shop pages) if you don't want to miss out :D
The first challenge is to celebrate the magic of Christmas and make something with a winter or Christmas theme. The winner will be picked at random and will get a £10 voucher to spend in the Crafty Purple frog shop.
Here is some inspiration from the DT...

For this card I have used a C6 card, Let it snow die cut, It's snowing embossing folder and collall glue to stick it all together. The adorable little girl image is a digi stamp from the amazing Digital pencil. I have some of her stamps arriving on friday so keep an eye on the shop if you want to get your hands on them.

For this next card I used a 5x7 card, Festive greeting die that I cut twice once in navy card and then again in gold card, some clear gems, It's snowing embossing folder, I made the sentiment stand out from the card by using 3D glue gel and stuck the rest down with collall glue.

For this card I have again used a digi stamp from digital pencil that I coloured with promarkers. 5x5 scalloped card blank, First editions Christmas wishes 6x6 paper, red pearls and I have made the image stand out a bit more with 3D glue gel. I put the rest together with collall glue.

made using...various distress inks & distress pens to colour image, which is stamped on 'Ranger' watercolour paper using 'onyx black Versafine'
Image is called 'Rudolf & Friends' & is from the Christmas in Moonbeam Meadow collection.
I have used the 'It's Snowing' embossing folder by Leonie Pujol. With Collall all purpose glue to stick everything together.

Wendy
For my card I used some fab papers from Dovecraft Berry Blush Back to Basics
The image was stamped onto Rangers Water Colour Paper this paper is amazing smooth on one side for fab blending. I used Stazon Jet Black ink to stamp the image and coloured with Distress markers.
I used my fav glue Collall All purpose glue to adhere the papers. To decorate the sentiment I used the amazing Wow glitter embossing powder called Champers and then to highlight her dress and stars I used stickles icicle. then to finish off I use some gems from Dovecraft Bright Gemstones.
